The Governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, AbdulRahaman AbdulRasak has said his foray into politics is to liberate the people of the state from socio-economic challenges. 

Speaking in Ilorin, AbdulRasak solicited support from party elders and other stakeholders to create a new Kwara of hope, progress and equality.

He urged the people to bury their differences to reposition the state for development.

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP) Governorship candidate in the state, AbdulRasak Atunwa has debunked the news that he had been substituted with another candidate ahead of the 2019 polls. 

Atunwa, through one of his media aides, Abdullahi Olesin, said the rumour should be discountenanced, as he remains the only candidate of the PDP in Kwara for the 2019 governorship election.
