Manchester United confirm Solskjær appointment

Manchester United have confirmed the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the caretaker manager until the end of the 2018/2019. He is set to be joined by Mike Phelan as first team coach, together with Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna.

The former United player replaces Portugese manager, Jose Mourinho, who was sacked on Tuesday. Solskjaer returns to England after a second stint with Norwegian club side, Molde. The 45-year-old made over 200 appearances during his time as a player at the Theatre of Dreams.
