EPL: Essien reveals why Victor Moses, two others may leave Chelsea in January

Former Chelsea midfielder, Michael Essien has explained why the likes of Victor Moses, Danny Drinkwater and Andreas Christensen could leave Stamford Bridge when the transfer window opens in January.
The future of Moses, Drinkwater and Christensen at the West London club have been the subject of speculations due to lack of playing time since manager, Maurizio Sarri took over from former Blues boss, Antonio Conte.
Moses has drawn interest from Crystal Palace, West Ham and Wolves, while Drinkwater is wanted by Fulham and Christensen is being monitored by Barcelona.
Speaking about the trio, Essien told Express UK: “Every player wants to play. Chelsea isn’t an easy place to come and the competition is very fierce.
”At the end of the day, all the players work but it’s the manager who will pick who he wants to play.
”When you’re not playing you get frustrated and you want to look elsewhere.
”It’s up to them [Moses, Drinkwater and Christensen] really but they have to keep working and then everyone gets their chance.”
Moses, Drinkwater and Christensen will hope to feature for Chelsea when they tackle Watford in tonight’s Premier League fixture.
