In the 2013/14 season where both sides were drawn in the group stage, Carlo Ancelotti's men won by 2-1 in Spain then played a 2-2 draw away from home. The following season, Juventus avenged their defeat in the semi finals as Allegri's side triumphed over two legs with a 3-2 aggregate scoreline. However, the Turin giants also dumped Los Bloncos out in the 2002/03 season in the semi finals, and the 2004/05 season in the round of 16.
