‘We are terrified over murder of Hauwa Leman’ – Leah Sharibu’s father cries out to Buhari
Mr. Sharibu Nethan, Leah’s father has disclosed that his family was terrified with the recent murder of Hauwa Leman, by the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
Leman, an aide worker with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) was recently murdered by the dreaded sect, who also vowed to enslave Leah, one of the Dapchi school girls forever.
The father of the only Dapchi school girl, who remains in captivity made the disclosure in an exclusive interview with DAILY POST on Monday.
He said “the killing of Hauwa Leman, who was kidnapped by my daughter’s captors, was terrifying and frightening”.
On what is the expectation of the family, a visibly troubled Nethan said, “We expect the federal government to do something about our daughter’s predicament and we have equally surrendered everything to God as the situation is beyond our imagination now.
Recall that Leah’s mother, Mrs. Rebecca Sharibu, while receiving federal government’s delegation led by the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed at home in Dapchi town recently, appreciated the relentless efforts of the government in securing the release of her daughter, but appealed for the authority concern to redouble its effort.
In her words, “extend my anguish to Mr. President to please redouble his effort; I know he is trying, he should remained steadfast in rescuing our daughter safely and in good health”.
“My daughter’s predicament has plunged me into having sleepless night without eating and drinking water; please help me extend the excruciating pain I am passing through to Mr. President,” she added.
