Champions League: Pochettino confirms Tottenham will be without three players against PSV

Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that his side will be without Dele Alli, Jan Vertonghen and Danny Rose during Wednesday’s Champions League clash against PSV.
Tottenham have lost two of their opening matches in Europe this season to Inter Milan and at home to Barcelona, with Pochettino not open to losing another match when he visits Eindhoven.
However, Spurs will go in search of three points without a number of key players, although Pochettino hinted that play-maker Christian Eriksen could feature from the start.
“I think Danny Rose, Dele Alli and Jan Vertonghen are still out,” Pochettino was quoted by Metro UK as saying.
“Christian Eriksen is fit to be selected and we’ll see tomorrow if he to play from the start of the game or from the bench.”
Eriksen came on as a substitute during the Premier League win over West Ham as he works his way back to full fitness following an abdominal injury.
Spurs are about to embark on a tiring run of games, and Pochettino is hoping to kick off an important period in the season with three points.
He continued: “My approach is always to win. Today playing professional football is about playing under stress and I don’t believe tomorrow will be any different.
“I think it’s a big challenge for different reasons. Of course I think it’s natural for us to try to put all our power and all our quality to try to manage in the best way.
“The situations that happen in the summer with the World Cup with not too much holidays and then you start to compete.
“For us, it’s a massive, massive challenge because all the things that happened in the start of the season are different to the start of the last one.”
